Imphal, September 14: The 1st meeting of the two day Central Monitoring Committee on Gregarious Flowering of Bamboos commenced today at State Guest House.

The meeting was presided over by Director General of Forest JC Kala (IAS).

Additional Chief Secretary of Forest and Environment, Govt of Manipur Saichuana also attended the meeting.

Principal Chief Forest Conservators of the North Eastern States, officials of DONER, IG Forest, Government of India and representatives of Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat and TIFAC are participating in the meeting.

Group discussion: Manipur University would be organising a group discussion on �Peace and development of academic atmosphere in the University campus� on September 17.
