Imphal, February 04: Troops of 4 AR under the aegis of HQ 9 Sector have reportedly apprehended two activists of the proscribed KYKL from Pangai area during a search operation launched today.

According to a statement issued by PRO HQ IGAR (H), on receiving information about UG activities at Pangei, the troops launched the cordon and search operation and arrested one KYKL cadre identified as Pvt Manga Meitei alias Ibungo (23) s/o Soba Meitei.

On sophisticated Lethod bomb was also recovered from the possession of the arrested cadre.

On spot interrogation, Manga revealed presence of another KYKL cadre in the same village.

Subsequently another column of 4 AR was sent and apprehended sergeant Surjakanta (18) s/o of Devan Meitei along with 1 crude bomb and two demand letters.
