Having culled four point each at the end of round four in the 15th Kh Anou Singh Memorial State Level Open Chess tournament Atembi, Chakritombi and Loken Luwang have surged ahead of the 38 player field today.
Atembi caused the major upset of the day when he forced top seed and international player Vikramjit (3) to retire in the 22nd move while Chakritombi joined Atembi in the title race defeating former champion Apollosana (3).Loken also stayed in contention for the top honour outwitting Sanjoy.
