Imphal, October 17:
Lamenting that commitment of the armed Kuki National Army to probe and take punitive action against those involved in the July 3 looting and killing of RK Pratap and causing injuries to one Ng Devan at Sapermeina area had turned out to be hallow pledge, JAC Against the Brutal Killing of RK Pratap has threatened to resume its agitation in a more concerted manner in case the organisation concerned do not declare its position on the issue.
Asserting that the said organisation should bear responsibility for any untoward incident arising out of the agitation, the JAC clarified that due to numerous issues being endured by the State public Uripok Shamushang based JAC had refrained from re-launching its agitation programme.
The body also appealed for cooperation from civil society organisations to its endeavour for justice.
It also highlighted difficult circumstances the deceased RK Pratap and his family elders had faced in the educational pursuit which had been complicated further with the heinous crime committed against the innocent youth while he was returning home to attend to his ailing parents.
