Lamka, December 11 2008:
In an attempt to crack down on the sprawling illegal sales of petrol and diesel, police today raided several roadside outlets here and apprehended at least a dozen illegal vendors with their oil stock.
A good number of the vendors have manage to cover their trade when the police raided their stalls, as they have received prior information from their counterparts as the police have initiated raids on the southern corner of the township.
Above 200 litres of petrol was seized during the raids today.
