Issues orders of closure of pvt clinics

MANIPUR'S PROSCRIBED Kangleipak Communist Party claimed responsibility for the abduction of two senior officials of premier Regional Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital on Thursday.
Ibungo Ngangom, Chief Project Officer-cum-Secretary of the outfit's Information and Public Relations Department in an email statement forwarded to the local media here,said "Ng Robindro, AE of Engineering Cell-RIMS, and Y Surjit, Supervisor of Engineering Cell-RIMS, were abducted by a special unit of Crime Prevention and Detection bureau (CPDB), which is attached to the party's Home Department, because of their involvement in corrupt practices but not in connection with any monetary demand as alleged by the RIMS authority".
"Both the abductees are under intense interrogation and the whole interrogation process is being video-recorded.
By now they have revealed a lot of information about the corrupt practices of top officials of RIMS including its Director, Deputy Director, Medical Superintendent and Chief Account Officer" it added.
After completion of the interrogation process, a criminal trial will be conducted against the two officials and the jury that will be conducting the trial will decide the kind of punishment to be awarded to them.
"If both are found guilty, they may be awarded even capital punishment" it warned.
It further asked the Director, Deputy Director, Medical Superintendent, Chief Account Officer and the Heads of Department of RIMS who attended the meeting of December 10, 2008 held in connection with the abduction of the two officials and reportedly chaired by RIMS Director, to surrender before the party within two days.
"If they ignore the warning, they may be awarded capital punishment at the first opportunity we get" the statement warned.
The further stated that the officials of the party's CPDB understood the investigation into the abduction and subsequent murder of a junior sub-editor of the Imphal Free Press, namely Konsam Rishikanta Singh, are claiming to have partially succeeded in finding out the facts behind the case.
Regarding the abduction of the two officials, Media Advisor of RIMS in a statement had said with the abductors reportedly setting a deadline of December 12 to cough up Rs 3 crore to secure release of the duo an emergency meeting of RIMS employees held on Wednesday wherein 'it was resolved that it is not possible to pay the ransom'.
On the other hand the outfit announced that Maipakpi Maternity and Child Hospital, Raj Polyclinic, Babina Clinic, Langol View Charitable Clinic, Hotel White Palace, Hotel Prince and Hotel Bheigo are indefinitely banned with effect from December 14 next."If our ban is ignored, they will be bombed at our first opportunity and the party will not bear responsibility for any structural damage or human casualties in the bombing" it said.
The outfit further claimed to have succeeded in finding out the facts behind the killing of a junior sub-editor of the Imphal Free Press, Konsam Rishikanta on November 17 last.
