The All Manipur District Council Teachers Association (AMDCTA) has decided to launch pen-down strike from tomorrow against the failure of the State Government to fulfil their demands.
The demands of the AMDCTA include release of 14 percent Dearness Allowance from January 2001 to June 2005, release of pending salaries from March 2009 till date and completion of NIC/MGEL by the CEOs/ADC.
District-wise protest demonstrations would be staged on September 2 and this would be followed by hunger strike and closure of all the six Hill District Council institutions/ADC and the six Hill District Council Administrative offices/ADC on September 5 .
The AMDCTA also condemned the DMCTE for rejection of BEd admission to its deputed teachers.
