Imphal, September 28:
Concerned with the report that the Forest Department has given permission to Tata for survey of chromium mining in the State, the Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL) asserted that there is no such as Government or Forest Department land in 'Raphei area'.
Depriving the legitimate owner their ownership is a crime and the union would not sit and watch as a mere spectator, said RKL in a press release.
It further alleged that the Forest Dept has no right to issue permission to extract any resources from Tangkhul area.
