Imphal, September 28:
Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr L Chandramani Singh, who is the President of Manipur People's Party (MPP) has categorically stated that lack of political vision and misgovernance are some of the chief factors creating chaos and uncertainty in the Manipuri society at the present juncture.
Speaking that the one day political session organised by Heingang unit of the regional party at Khabam Maibam Khongnangkhong community hall today, Dr Chandramani asserted that visionless politics and misgovernance of the present Congress-led SPF during its seven year long stint and lack of political commitment to mitigate grievances of the people had been constraining the masses to endure severe inconveniences and a future filled with uncertainties.
Pointing to chaos, bad roads, farmers unable to access to fertilizers in time, non-rationalisation of administrative and financial power to the local bodies (panchayats) and various ills afflicting the society due to breakdown of law and order machinery, the former Deputy CM affirmed that such inconveniences being endured by the general public starkly reflects SPF Government's all-round failure.
Participating at the deliberation session and commenting on the 'true essence of politics vis-a-vis Manipuri society, MPP Legislature Wing Leader O Joy Singh expressed that politics is an inevitable component of the society without which survival or development of the society would be dubious.
