Imphal, November 06:
The governing body of South East Manipur College, Komlathabi has urged the Education Minister for converting the college into a full-fledged Government College in the interest of the minorities tribal groups living in Chandel district like Tarao, Chothe, Lamkang, Kuki, Moyon, Mongshang, etc.
The memorandum submitted through the chief of Komlathabi as the Minister failed to attend the annual freshers' meet of the college yesterday, pointed out that South East Manipur College, Komlathabi is not only the first and oldest college established in Chandel district but has also been neglected by the Government for long thereby depriving easy access to education to students of minority tribes.
