The District Consumer Redressal Forum Imphal has asked he Manager SBI Imphal to compensate a total amount of Rs 4520 to the complainant for deficiency in banking service.
The Forum president Dr.Ch Narendra made his verdict on July 19 following a complaint filed by one Kh Raghumani of Sagolband Bijoy Govinda.
In his complaint, Raghumani said SBI Paona Bazar branch charged Rs 35 after he deposited Rs 10,000 to his account on January 8 this year.
The same amount was charged in all his subsequent deposits which is in contravention of the schedule of service charge which came into force from February 1 last year.
The total loss incurred in such deposits was Rs 420.Having heard both the parties, the Forum asked the Manager SBI Imphal to pay Rs 5420 to the complainant and to deposit the same amount to the Forum within one month.
