SK Jain, IPS, Inspector General of Police (Manipur & Nagaland Sector), CRPF Imphal addressed to the officers and jawans on the occasion of 68th CRPF Foundation day at Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing, Imphal.
He said it was a matter of immense pride that the Central Reserve Police Force is celebrating its 68th foundation day on July 27.'This is an occasion for all of us not only to rejoice but also to introspect and re-dedicate ourselves to the service of nation', he exhorted the gathering officers and the jawans.
Over the years, CRPF has earned a reputation of being a secular and effective force.
CRPF is maintaining internal security in most parts of the country including J & K and Manipur.
The Force is also playing an active role in the States like AP, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, MP, Orissa, UP and West Bengal to curb the menace of Naxalism.
In the coming years, CRPF priority areas are to upgrade operational efficiency with qualitative and quantitative improvement of training inputs and to rationalise deployment to ensure optimum utilisation.
Improving the quality of life of CRPF personnel and their families with better infrastructure, care and attention is another priority area.
The IGP (Manipur & Nagaland Sector, CRPF hoped to continue with CRPF efforts for community welfare through Civic Action Programmes especially in disturbed areas.
He highlighted the instance wherein record 285 units of blood were donated in a single day at Imphal on April 1, 2007 by personnel of 128 Bn CRPF.
On this happy occasion, he wished all the offers, jawans and their families a very happy, bright and professionally fulfilling future.
SK Malik, Addl DIGP, RB Singh, Second in-Command, other officers and jawans of the force were also present at the occasion.
