Imphal, July 27:
Notwithstanding the public outcry against crimes on young children including instances of snatching ear rings, kidnapping for ransom, killing, etc, some unidentified miscreants yet again snatched the gold ear ring from a partially mute 5-year old girl child at around 11 am today.

The latest victim is identified as Haorangbam Roshni, 5-year old daughter of Haorangbam Prem and Haorangbam Ongbi Roni Devi of Saiton under Bishnupur district, but currently staying in a rented house at Tera Loukram Leirak.
Prem is a rickshaw driver.
Reporting the incident after coming to the office of The Sangai Express, the parents informed that after playing along with his daughter, Prem went out of the house with some friends at around 10 am today.
At that time Roni was attending to her household chores and did not have any idea when her daughter went out of the room.
However, at around 11 am, as soon as Roshni entered the house she fainted with blood dripping from her right ear lobe.
Getting suspicious, Roni picked up her unconscious daughter and notice that the ear ring was missing.
On regaining consciousness, Roshni communicated to her mother that the unidentified miscreants gagged her mouth and snatched the ear ring after taking her to the side plank of the house.
Roshni was wearing gold ear rings of Sunkhai each on her ears.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Anti-Drug Association (AMADA) has taken serious note of the involvement of drug addicts in such crimes and said recurrence of the incidence of snatching ear rings from children after a lull is really unfortunate.
While informing that AMADA would start looking after the medical requirement of the injured child from tomorrow, Secretary of its Drive Committee K Meghachandra has asked the unidentified miscreants to voluntarily surrender to AMADA within five days or face the consequences if arrested by the investigating team of AMADA.
