Imphal, Jun 11:
Responding to the call given by the Indo-Burma Road Bus Owners' Welfare Assn against the hike in the prices of fuel, all buses stayed off the Imphal-Moreh road today.
Following the suspension of bus services, especially on the ImphalThoubal stretch, Khwairamband bazar wore a deserted look as most of the vegetable vendors could not come to Imphal to sell their products.
As part of the protest, the transporters will stage a sit-in-protest at Keishampat bus parking from 11 am till 5 pm tomorrow.
