Imphal, January 22:
The Assam Rifles authorities informed that three cadres of the KNF (MC) were shot dead during joint action launched by cadres of rival underground outfits in Kaiphundai area on January 16, according to a PIB (Defence Wing) statement issued today.
The three slain KNF cadres had deserted from their Abin village hideout in Tamenglong district due to tough living conditions and ill-treatment by senior cadres, contended the statement.

Meanwhile, terming as false and misleading the news report carried on January 20 regarding allegation levelled by the NSCN (IM)'s Zeliangrong Region CAO MK willing, the PIB today clarified that no family members of Willing were harassed by the security force personnel.
