Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has greeted the people of Manipur particularly the Zeliangrong brethren on the auspicious occasion of Gaan Ngai.
In his message, the CM hoped the festival will spread message of peace, friendship and forgiveness among the people and also expressed the people use the festival as an opportunity to promote peaceful coexistence among different communities residing in the State.
Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) has also extended its heartiest greetings to the Zeliangrong people on the occasion of Gaan Ngai.
It also prayed that the festival ushers in peace, prosperity and brotherhood in the trouble torn State and further appealed to the Zeliangrongs to celebrate the occasion with the message of love and help in cementing the existing ties between different communities.
League of the Fourth World People has also expressed its warm greetings to Zeliangrongs on arrival of Gaan Ngai.
Meanwhile, Zeliangrong Religious Council (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) wished the people of Manipur in general and the Zeliangrong community in particular a very happy and joyous Gaan Ngai.
The Council also prayed to the Almighty God - Tingkao Ragwang - to bless mankind with peace, progress and prosperity during the year.
Gaan Ngai is a post harvest festival of Zeliangrong community marked by thanksgiving to the Almighty God for the rich harvest.
