With an eye on defeating the Congress party in the by-election to the Yaiskul Assembly Constituency which is due to be held on December 19, Janata Dal (Secular) has launched a survey to take the opinion of the voters from today.
Addressing a press conference in this connection at his residence, Soubam Rajendrakumar who is the candidate of JD (S) in the by-election, informed that based on the report of the survey, party would be worked out its strategies to defeat the Congress party.
He also appealed to the people and more particularly the voters of Yaiskul Assembly Constituency to extend their support and participate in the survey.
Expressing serious concern over the prevailing situation in the State , Rajendrakumar categorically stated that the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh led SPF Government has been at the root cause of social unrest, violence incident of killings and rampant corruption being witnessed today.
So the upcoming by-election to the Yaiskul Assembly Constituency is the right opportunity for the people to teach a lesson to the Govt.''It is for this same purpose that I have come out to contest in the by-election'', Rajendrakumar said.
Cautioning the voters against the muscle and money power that the Congress party may employed to retain the seat, he also urged the voters to understand their voting rights and use them judiciously.
