Imphal, November 21:
The Defence Spokesman of the PREPAK Captain Birjit said out of the eleven who were killed on November 17 at 2.30 pm at Setupur, four were members of PREPAK Red Army, six were over ground members and one was a civilian.
The Red Army cadres on 27 September had fled away taking their weapons.
They collected money illegally and demanded huge amounts of money from various departments.
They requested to surrender and when they were proceeding they killed a person who was brought to put the entire blame on him the press statement added.
The fighting team tried to stop the fight however they were fired upon and the unfortunate incident happened as they had to fire in self defence.
The statement of MPLF and PLA on the incident are welcomed he said.
To bring unity PREPAK worked hard.
