Manipur Khadi and Village Industries Board CEO Thongam Biragopal has refuted the allegation levelled by the proscribed KCP-MC regarding arrest of two of its cadres after calling them to his residence to hand over the share of the outfit.
Referring to the press statement of KCP-MC Information and Public Relations Officer Puranthaba's claim published on local dailies, the CEO clarified, "I have never planted such ploy" .
Speaking to reporters, Biragopal said, he had neither met and called any cadre of KCP-MC nor the outfit made any monetary demand to him.
Informing that no KVIC additional fund has been sanctioned so far, the CEO said that Mumbai head office has however funded for the entrepreneurs under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme.
The fund is currently deposited at the non-operative account in bank, he clarified adding that the said amount must be drawn out by the respective entrepreneurs.
The selection of entrepreneurs are done by the Board, Biragopal added.
He also pleaded all concerned not to terrorise innocents levelling such false charges.
