32nd B'day : PREPAK rules out talks under Indian Constitution
Source: The Sangai Express

Imphal, October 07 2009: Greeting the people on the occasion of its 32nd anniversary, which falls on October 9, Vice Chairman of the proscribed PREPAK, Nongdrenkhomba, has today asserted that it will never enter into a political dialogue with the Government of India under the Constitution of India and added that if at all talks are held, it will be done so under the United Nations.

In a statement issued to the press today, the PREPAK leader said that they will continue with the struggle and will never fall into the trap of Peace Talk with the Government of India.

There will be no selling off the revolutionary movement, asserted the VC and added that if any talks are to be held then it will be under the aegis of the United Nations.

The Delhi leaders need to take cognizance of the fast changing world and the emerging globalisation after World War II and the setting up of the UN charter.

Addressing a number of issues confronting the people, the VC said that under the Government of India, the sufferings of the people have reached its zenith.

A systemic elimination process of innocent people has been put into motion while the seeds of distrust and animosity among different communities have been sown.

Many innocent people have been killed in military operations while there is no end to the large scale influx from outside, said the VC.

On the other hand, on the pretext of leading a more comfortable life, birth control measures have been initiated amongst the people of Manipur while matrimonial ties and alliances with outsiders are on the increase.

All these have led to the gradual decrease in the population of the people of Manipur, said the VC and added that if the people do not wake up to the reality, then the Manipuri Nation may one day be obliterated from the surface of the earth, just like the once mighty and powerful Dinosaur.

If such a situation persists, then when the day of freedom dawns, then there may not be any Manipuri people to enjoy the fruits of freedom, cautioned the PREPAK leader.

There is no end to the continued attempt to paint the ongoing revolutionary movement as a socio-economic revolution, observed the VC.

The armed revolution has been launched under the UN mandated Right to Self Determination and Historical Right to Independence, said the VC and added that instead of recognising this, the Government of India and its puppets have been trying to paint it as an internal issue.

The attempt to interpret the movement as one arising out of economic deprivation or by those from broken homes is an example of the failure of the Government of India and their puppets to realise the changing concept of Nationhood.

India should know that the people of Manipur have a historical right to freedom.

Accusing India of trying to throttle the people, PREPAK said that even sportspersons are not spared from discrimination.

On the economic front, no efforts have been spared to show that the people of Manipur cannot survive without their help, said the VC and today Manipur has been turned into a captive market, meant only for India to earn their revenue.

It is the same on the political front too, said the outfit and added that the custodians of Manipur Government have been reduced to their puppets.

In fact all politicians, in their bid to earn the favour of Delhi have become their stooges, said PREPAK and added that in the process the interest and aspirations of the people have been overlooked.

The State force, which should be there to provide protection to the people, too has been turned into a loyal follower of the Indian security force, said the VC and added that in collaboration with the Indian security forces, innocent people are being killed at will.

Fake encounters have become the order of the day, said the outfit and added that even students have not been spared.

Rickshaw drivers, auto-drivers and others have been eliminated after plating guns and grenades on them by the State force in collaboration with Indian security force.

The day light of a young, pregnant woman, Th Rabina at Khwairamband bazar was heart rending, said the VC and added that Ch Sanjit was also killed the same day on the ground that he was a member of an underground cadre, in a fake encounter.

Apart from the indiscriminate killing of innocent people, the Government of India has been putting in its best efforts to sow seeds of animosity and distrust amongst the people, said the VC and added that no efforts have been spared to portray the revolutionary movement as terrorism.

On the other hand, the puppets of the Indian Government have let loose a reign of State terrorism.

Till September this year, more than 500 people have been killed by police commandos, the PREPAK leader noted.

To get the favour of their political bosses at New Delhi, the Ibobi Singh led Government has today brain washed the police commandos to view their brethren as enemies, said PREPAK and added that to quell the revolutionary movement, huge amount of money has been pumped in.

Police stations are being constructed all over the place and there is no stop to the recruitment of Village Defence Force.

By befooling the State force with words of praise, they are being teamed up with Indian security forces to launch counter-insurgency operations to eliminate the revolutionaries.

Police commandos should realise that the people they kill are their own brethren, said the VC and added that such internecine killings will be to the joy of only the Government of India.

The police commandos should not forget that they too will enjoy the fruits of freedom, once it comes.

At this critical juncture, it is imperative for all the revolutionaries to look afresh and study what they should do and what they should not do.

It is important for all the revolutionaries to stand together and move together.

The ties between the public and the revolutionaries need to be strengthened afresh, said the VC and added that strengthening the unity of the people is also important.

On the other hand, there is the pressing need to discard the family planning programme espoused by the Govt of India.

It is also time to stop the large scale influx as well as matrimonial alliances with outsiders.
