Imphal, June 28 2009:
Taking serious note of the fading liberation movement, the Central Security Council (CSC) of the proscribed KCP (MC) has decided not to allow any form of fund collection from public or engage in extortion by intimidating the public.
Three members of the CSCChief of Military Council and Secretary Military Affairs Lanheiba Meitei, Chief of Central Finance Lanchenba Meitei and Chief of Central Logistic and Public Networking Council Lamjingba Khuman have resolved to stop making personal demands with effect from tomorrow (June 28), conveyed a press release issued by Lanheiba Meitei.
Demanding an immediate halt to the practice of taking ransom after abducting people, the outfit cautioned that the revolutionary movement may get derailed if this trend continues.
If the people's faith in revolutionary groups is lost, it would be impossible to advance the liberation movement, observed KCP (MC).
All activities undertaken by a party/organisation were executed after an in-depth analysis of its implications.
Saying that prohibition of liquor sale and consumption is not a programme of the outfit, Lanheiba asserted that it was only demonstrating people's disapproval against selling and consuming liquor in the State to the alien rulers.
All Kangleipak Feengang Lanmee (KFL) should always remember the oath they took before taking up arms, the outfit asserted that they should never speak falsehood to the people.
They should have appropriate mentality for a revolutionary and put forward their frame of mind to the public.
The outfit has no alternative way other than fighting the alien forces but the same path is most difficult.
Yet, the same path can be turned into a smooth path provided there is full cooperation of the people.
Saying that the alien forces too know this fact, the outfit asserted that security forces have been killing and harassing people in the name of counter insurgency operation when the insurgents and people come a bit closer than usual.
Under such harsh existential reality, some traitors have been scheming to tarnish the revolutionary movement.
The only shield from such vicious ploy and traitors is strengthening the bond and cooperation between KFLs and the people.
Stating that it would always work not get the name of an 'international outlaw', the outfit pledged that it would always abide by international laws like the Geneva Convention.
The party never took money after abducting workers of the North Valley Stone Crusher Owners' Association nor it was involved in the abduction of drivers Konsam Somen and Huidrom Bishwarjit, the outfit clarified.
Saying that such activities might have been perpetrated by a gang in the name of the party, Lanheiba appealed to the people not to view all armed persons as cadres of a party.
Disclosing that some self-seeking individuals have started earning money in the name of the party, Lanheiba said that the outfit has been making serious efforts to pull up those anti-social and anti-party elements by stopping personal demand.
Lanheiba further sought cooperation from the public towards the outfit's efforts.
