Imphal, June 28 2009:
Contributions of 10 percent supposed to be made by the State Govt towards Pension Provident Fund and General Insurance Scheme of employees is yet to be translated into action till date.
An informed source disclosed that the Government is liable to make monetary contributions of 10 percent of the total amount being insured by each and every employee inclusive of the recently appointed MCS/MPS officers and other Government employees.
The contribution should have been made from 2005 but till date there is hardly any indication of the Government's commitment to welfare measures of the employees on their service superannuation.
nevertheless, the employees on their part had been contributing to these schemes, added the source.
