Along with deferring the election of the District Councils which was earlier scheduled to be held in April this year, a meeting of the State Cabinet today has relaxed the upper age limit of the Combined Civil Services Examination to be conducted by MPSC.
According to a Cabinet Minister of the SPF Government, the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh decided to postpone the District Councils election which was scheduled o be held on April 18 and 19.The new dates for holding the election would be fixed after enactment of an Act for which a Bill would be introduced during the ongoing Assembly session.
The Cabinet Minister further informed that the today's Cabinet sitting has also decided to relax the upper age limit of the Combined State Civil Services examination to be conducted by the MPSC this year upto 32 years for general candidates, 35 for OBCs and 37 years for SC/ST candidates.
