Whenever he came home, he played either cricket or handball or sometimes football at the play ground known as Peaceful Ground.
"He even participated in the Vth National Games at Imphal representing Manipur," Khogen said.
In memory of his sporting talents, his family has been organizing a state level football tournament since last year at the Peaceful ground, he said.
Meanwhile Bimol's bereaved parents, Maibam Nando and Sanahanbi Devi are contemplating to dedicate a ground after the name of their son.
A big feasting in his memory was also held at his residence.
"I'm looking to purchase a playground within our area to be named after Bimol and dedicated to the people.
We have found the area and negotiation is on with the owner," a bereaved Nando said even as he has constructed his son's 'dream house'.
"As deserved by my son I have constructed this three-storeyed building.
We will always keep this house empty as a memorial place for my lone son but we will give accommodation to my son's friends," a soft-spoken Nando, said.
