'Even if the Government of India sanctions lakhs or crores of rupees we will not develop.
To become developed in our regions and societies we need to change our attitudes and utilize the government money properly' .
This was stated by Joseph Pauline, MCS ADM Tamenglong during the inauguration of the one day training on watershed management and formation of SHG under IWDP of Hariyali Project at Shekinuh- Inn Tamenglong District HQs.
The GoI has given attention to rural areas like Tamenglong District in Manipur to bridge the gap in development.
But development funds are not utilized properly adding that official papers of IAY schemes claim that all houses are tin roofied or that the Tamenglong- Khongsang is black topped, the actual finding is that all is a wish wash, Joseph Pauline, asserted.
Tousem Sub- Division has huge unutilized lands, which the people can utilize to producte banana, oranges and other vegetables without using tertilisers.
'We should be energetic and work hard like Armstrong Pame from Impa Village of Tousem Sub-Division who became an IAS and is ADM Tamenglong.
Kamiuthuan Kamei, Project Officer, DRDA Tamenglong also observed that unless people change their attitude no development will take place even if the government of India sanctions crores of rupees for development.
