There will be no bright future without education.
Education has a great role to play for the restoration of normalcy in chaotic situation and without education the future will be bleak.
This was stated by Prof Th Ratankumar, the dean of Students' Welfare, Manipur University while delivering a speech during the symposium on 'the role of the youths in the society' organized by the Singjamei to Lilong United Clubs' Organisation (SLUCO) at the hall of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Canchipur.
Prof Ratankumar observed that the society has been inflicted with malady since some years back.
This has disintegrated the society.
He said, taking innocent children of 7/8 years into the streets is not a positive sign for growth.
He added, the involvement of children in agitation is 'suicidal'.
The occasion was graced by Prof Ratankumar as the chief guest.
SLUCO president Wairokpam Gonendra was the president while Principal of Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School, Pheiroijam (O) Landhoni was the guest of honour.
Resource persons of the symposium were A Mobi, editor of Sanaleibak newspaper, Khoirom Loyalakpa, editor of Naharolgee Thoudang and Prof Chinglen Meisnam.
