In a bid to foster better Indo-Korean ties, a Korean professor arrived at State capital today to attend a five-day school children meet starting September 26 .
Jong Min Kim, a professor in Centre for Japanese, Koren and North East Asian Studies, School of Language, Jawaharlal Nehru University will take part in the meet as a special guest.
"I'll speak on Korean culture, tradition and other aspects pertaining to our country's education policy during the Imphal programme," Kim, who has been teaching in JN University since 2006, said.
Manipuri culture and lifestyles are somewhat similar to that of Korea, he added.
Kim attended a seminar on 'Spiritual and Physical Dimension of Manipuri Martial Arts' at Manipur University at Imphal in August last year.
Governor Gurbachan Jagat will be the chief guest of the meet's opening ceremony, official sources said adding that a spectrum of activities will be showcased by students of various schools in the programme.
