MPTC lauds rail budget, state players

Imphal, February 28 2011:
The Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress (MPTC) expressed gratitude to the Union Railway Minister Km Mamata Banerjee from initiatives to developed 200 new rail routes in NE and to construct a Diesel Locomotive Centre in Imphal.
In a press release, MPTC stated that the public leader is also giving concessions to students and national and international players and opening an office in Imphal to make the form available to the people of the state.
It also lauded the power packed performances of state players in the recent 34th National Games which help Manipur in winning Best State Award.
While mentioning the initiatives of Jharkhand government to give cash incentives of Rs 5 lakh, Rs 3 lakh and Rs 2 lakh to its gold, silver and bronze medal winners, MPTC questioned to the present SPF government of Manipur if they had taken any initiatives for the inspiration of the players of the state.
It also questioned the policy of Sports Minister on the representation of other states by many state players in the National
Games.
It also mentioned that SPF government is a government which has no support of the people of the state.
The defeat of Congress in the recent Konthoujam AC Bye Poll clearly showed that the reign of Congress led government has began to fall in the state.
