Imphal, April 15 2010:
The banned KCP has celebrated its 30th raising day at its Chqs, Ghqs and different places of Kangleipak.
Reading out of the president's message, paying homage to the departed cadres, release of the party's journal Lanthengminnasi Eikhoi and a book titled Yawolloisingna Khangminnagadaba Wakhallolpomit were the main features of the raising day celebration, said a press release issued by the party's information and publicity secretary H Poirei.
Explaining its silence for some period in the recent past, the outfit said that this was compelled by the emergence of many pseudo revolutionaries who ultimately created confusion among the public regarding which groups were imposters and which are genuine.
|
To enable the public differentiate between those imposters and the genuine ones, the party remained silent for sometime.
Noting that factionalism is one of the major impediments to the revolutionary movement of Kangleipak, the outfit asserted that all the people/groups need to join hands and delve into the root causes of this malady.
Coveting leadership, financial or military power, notion of clinging to power, unwillingness to give up power are some of the main reasons for growth of factionalism within a party, the party noted.
This factionalism is abetted by the 'balancing policy' followed by bigger organisations and falling prey to the divisive schemes hatched by the alien rule.
Referring to the groups which have signed the SoO or cease-fire pacts, the outfit remarked that it was really shameful considering the recent declaration of the Government of India that it would not enter into cease-fire or peace talks with splinter armed groups of the North East.
Another major factor of the dwindling public confidence in revolutionary organisations is the luxurious fashion developed by revolutionary groups, it asserted.
Rather than fostering a common revolutionary leadership in the right direction, the revolutionary groups have been concentrating on building and consolidating their own strength and position thereby causing untold suffering to the public.
On the other hand, efforts to realise a united KCP ended in failure, it admitted while lamenting at the ever-widening gap between the people and revolutionary groups.
It is the inescapable responsibility of the present generation to raise the revolutionary movement on the path of success in order to secure the destiny of future generations, it asserted.
