Imphal, August 24 2009:
Standing crops and properties of the villages from Tupul to Awangkhul situated on the banks of Ijei river had been washed away by a flash flood on August 15 .
A press release of Raengkhung 1,2, and 3 Village Authority drew attention of the State and Central Government to provide necessary relief to the villagers.
Standing crops of around 600 paris, houses and other properties of six villages had been damaged by the flood, the release added.
