Imphal, November 04 2010:
Although the recommendation of the 6th Central Pay Commission has already been implemented in Manipur, over 400 employees under the Junior Manipur Civil Services are yet to receive any benefits till date.
According to a reliable source, implementation of 6th Central Pay Commission recommendations in Manipur came into effect from April this year.
But the regular salaries of over 400 Junior MCS officers have not been increased so far.
Numerous complaints have been lodged in this regard, but the Government of Manipur and the Finance Department are yet to take a definite decision on the matter till date.
At the time of issuing the order for payment of salaries under the 6th Central Pay Commission to the employees under the Government of Manipur, the names of the Junior MCS officers were not there in the list.
Consequently, the aggrieved officers lodged a complaint with the Finance Department with the request that at least two-third of the increased salary amount should be given.
But so far there has been no response from the side of the Finance Department, said a source.
Moreover, the MGEL list which the Finance Department has sought from the Junior MCS officers is yet to be provided by the Government of Manipur and its related Dept.
So, the office of the Accountant General (AG) has also restrained from issuing the pay slip to the Junior MSC officers.
Among the Junior MSC officers, there are many who are working in the Secretariat.
Though other employees in the Secretariat have been enjoying the benefit of the 6th Central Pay Commission, the Junior MSC officers are being given the same old pay scale.
