The District Mobile Medicine Unit, DMMU Tamenglong under District Health Mission Society Tamenglong today organised a free health camp at C.Centre for Inriangluang village (Old Tamenglong) and the same free health camp will be held at Chiulon village tomorrow.
The main objective of the free medical camp is to make available free medicines to remote poor villagers unable attend OPD at the district hospital.
The District Health Mission Society under National Rural Health Mission has failed to go to the remote villages of Tamenglong district as vehicles of the District Mobile Medicine Unit, DMMU Tamenglong can not negotiate the bad roads leading to the remote villages.
Dr Chambo Gonmei, District Tuberculosis Officer, Dr Bobi, MO District Hospital and Dr Gracy Medical Officer inchagre District Hospital Tamenglong along with Village Health Workers who were recently trained by 11 Assam Rifles and nurses attended the free health camp today at Inriangluang village.
In the meantime, the District Employment Exchange Tamenglong today organised a district level awareness programme on Employment and Career Planning for students of secondary and higher secondary school, at the Indoor Stadium Tamenglong with C Arthur W IAS, SDO Tamenglong, B Go Lian Mang, MPS Addl SP Taemnglong Th.Subhas Kumar Singh, District Employment officer Tamenglong and N Sadananda Singh SubInspector DEO Tamenglong participated in the programme as resource persons.
About 50 to 60 students of classes XI and XII students participated in the awareness programme.
