A meeting organised by All Manipur Mini Anganwadi Association at Kurai Lainingthou Puthiba shanglen today, resolved to appeal to all concerned to refrain from intervening in the utilisation of funds meant for Mini Anganwadi Centres in the state.
A flagship programme of the government of India, Mini Anganwadi Centres had been launched since February 28 this year in Manipur.

Speaking to newspersons at the sideline of the meeting, which was participated by a large number of workers and helpers of Mini Anganwadi Centres, Association secretary Kh Najima disclosed that the State government is yet to release relevant honorariums to the workers and helpers of various Centres.
She also confided that owing to strong apprehension that certain UG groups would intervene in the implementation of the noble scheme, the meeting was convened so as appeal to all concerned from any undesired activities that could hamper smooth implementation of the programme.
other resolutions adopted at the meeting include facing all hostile interventions, such as threat to anganwadi workers/helpers or centres unitedly, and expeditious release of funds meant for the helpers/workers, provision of food items for the children and release of requisite materials to the centres.
