Imphal, February 25:
To plead for safe release of Md Ansar Ali alias Tomba of Yairipok Changamdabi Mathak Leikai reportedly abducted by KLA cadres at around of 8 pm of February 19, a public rally to the nearby Kuki village has been planned.
The decision to this effected was adopted in the public meeting held today at Kangla Makok Memorial English School under the aegis of the JAC Against Kidnapping of Ansar Ali.
The meeting further resolved to launch various modes of agitation including Wakat Meephams and general strike in case Ansar Ali is not release even after the rally and the meeting.
To draw the attention of the State Govt and urged the authority concerned for safe release of Ansar Ali were other resolutions adopted in today's meeting.
The meeting was attended by AYUCO president Dr M Rajendra and president of United Muslim Organisation Yairipok Md Jallaluddin as presidium members.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Rajendra remarked that individuals/group involved in the abduction of Ansar are seen as bereft of any principle as they failed to disclose the reason for the abduction and the faults of Ansar Ali.
Appealing to the concerned group for safe release of Ansar on humanitarian ground, Rajendra said that people would be helpless but take recourse to due course of agitation and other actions.
The Singa Development Association, Yambem Young Pioneer Club and Youth Voluntary Orgn Changamdabi have appealed to release Ansar Ali.
