Against the backdrop of the disruption in the form issuance to recruit primary teachers by MEELAL activists today, Education Commissioner S Budhachandra has appealed to all concerned not to disrupt the efforts of the Government to recruit teachers.
In a statement the Commissioner said that the State Government has taken up serious efforts to fill up the vacancies of primary teachers which has been dogging the State for the last 10 years.
At the moment, the Government has taken up the process to recruit around 1642 primary teachers and 249 Hindi teachers, said the statement and added that teachers selected under the general category are being imparted training in Meitei Mayek.
In the interest of the students, the Commissioner appealed to all concerned not to disrupt the recruitment process.
