Imphal, Jun 11:
Thirteen fake currency notes of denomination Rs 100 were seized from one Md Ibungo(30) s/o Md Shah of Lilong Turel Ahanbi while he along with two other accomplices tried to make use of the fake currency in purchasing petrol at Kyamgei Pal Ahanbi at around 7.15 am today.
Even as Md Ibungo was nabbed by the people of the area, his two accomplices managed to make their escape.
A scooter ( MN 03 A-0890) ridden by the three persons was set ablaze by the people.
It is reported that Md Ibungo has been handed over to Singjamei PS.
