Imphal, October 25: The 18th annual sports meet of Manipur University Ladies� Hostel was held today at the Hostel�s campus with MPCC president Gaikhangam and VC (MU) Prof N Bijoy Singh as the chief guest and president respectively.

The opening ceremony marked by parade of hostel contingent was also graced by the presence of dean of Science Prof C Amuba, Dean of Social Science N Joykumar Singh, Registrar Dr RK Ranjan, MLA Bijoy Koijam and Dean of Students Welfare Prof W Nabakumar as guests of honour, added a release.

Sangita football league: CRPF, Langjing held MBSU, Wahengbam Leikai to a 1-1 draw in today�s match of the 12th L Sangita Devi Memorial Division I football league tournament 2005 being played at Khuman Lampak Practice Ground.

Inaocha put MBSU with a 26th minute goal as the CRPF levelled through Ranjan�s 57th minute strike.

The other match scheduled today between KRYPSA and YAC had to be postponed as both teams showed up for the tie with similar colour (uniform).
