Chandel, October 25: A public meeting jointly organised by Maring Uparup Assembly (MUA), Maring Nupuiya Yeinglam (MNY), Maring Students Union (MSU) and All Maring Sporting Association (AMSA) today at Kangsang village Community Hall has resolved to build a market shed for Marings.

The meeting was attended by MLA DK Korungthang, W Morung Makunga, ex-MLA & District Congress president of Chandel NS Mephul Maring, village Chiefs and Union leaders.

Speaking at the occasion, DK Korunthang stated that the Marings by nature are hard working and skillful and they deserved to have a market shed of their own.

This would help the Maring people to sell their products.

He further hinted Maipou village area would be the most suitable site for setting up the proposed market shed as it is the confluence of the Eastern Marings & Western Marings.
