Imphal, October 25: Expressing annoyance at the recent State Government notification for taking over of Sana Konung (Royal Palace) the Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak observed that such a move is another sinister design to demolish existing practices of customary and traditional rituals/rites of indigenous people of Manipur.

When the then princely State of Manipur lost its independence after being forcibly merged with the Indian Union the traditional and customary practices of Manipur too lost its gloss and glorious past, said the body and termed the latest move to take over the royal Palace as another nefarious design to destroy the fine fabric of cultural and ancient links.
