True to its expectation, Miishikol, Khurai bagged four championship titles out of the eight titles on the offer in the 1st Governor's Cup State Level Fencing Championship held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.
Miishikhol bagged 1st Soraisham Ronika Devi memorial running trophy for both sub-junior boys and girls title after the team secured four gold, one silver and three bronze medals totaling 26 points.
The 1st Manaobi Laishram memorial running trophy for cadet boys went to SAI RC bagging one gold, two silver and one bronze accumulating 12 points while the girls title went to SWC with one gold and one silver.
SAI RC bagged the 1st Wakabam (O) Anou Devi memorial running trohpy for junior girls securing 14 points with one gold and three silver medals.
The 2nd Wakabam Nodia Singh memorial running trophy for junior boys was bagged by Miishikhol for securing two gold and one bronze medals with 11 points.
The 1st Hijam Jugeshwar Singh memorial running trophy for senior boys went to SAI RC who bagged three gold and one silver medal totalling 18 points while the girls title went to Miishikhol after it bagged two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
The overall team champion title went to Miishikhol who manage 84 points while the second place was bagged by SAI RC with 79 points.
Dr T Meinya Singh, MP, Th Joykumar, president MFA and W Sanajaoba, ex-president MFA graced the closing function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Earlier in the finals held today, Hector Ningombam, SAI beat teammate Chingomba Ningomba by 10-9 points in senior men's sabre final.
