Imphal, August 11:
Timely treatment of two snake bite cases by a doctor of 4 Assam Rifles Assistant Commandant Neerupama Devi at Mantripukhri saved the life of two local people, said a PRO (IGAR/S) release that identified the individuals as Bina of Arum Khunou and L Yaima of Khurkhul.
After being bitten by a poisonous snake while working in the fields, the duo were rushed in critical condition to the unit hospital where the doctor administered anti-venom and averted casualty.
Both have been referred to RIMS Hospital as their conditions stabilised.
