Imphal, March 21:
A bomb alarm sounded this morning at Chingmeirong area turned out to be hoax call when a team of police bomb experts rushed to the site soon after.
According to sources, personnel of the bomb disposal squad were pressed into service at a road median near Chingmeirong oil depot at around 7 am on being informed by an Army patrol party who suspected explosive device had been planted after their sniffer dog had vigorously sniffed and clawed at a particular portion of the median.
