EMA rolls out red carpet for Dr Nara

Imphal, March 21: The European Manipuri Association accorded a warm welcome to MLA Dr M Nara when he visited the United Kingdom to attend the Commonwealth Parliamentary Convention.

In a statement EMA said that its members interacted with the MLA who took time out from his busy schedule to meet them.

During the interaction, the MLA shared his ideas and views regarding a constructive approach towards a long lasting peace and social justice in Manipur, said the statement and added that members of EMA appreciated the initiative taken up by the MLA to educate the mass through popular medium like the Shumang Lila and poetry.

EMA members also noted and encouraged the artistes who are currently giving a different perspective to entertainment by using it as a medium to bring socio-economic reforms and spreading cultural messages.

The in-depth discussion with the MLA on many of the prevailing issues related to Manipur and Manipuris settled across the globe also served as a driving force to all those present during the discussion to work together for a better quality of life in Manipur.
