Imphal, November 22: A student of LT English School, New Lambulane drowned today at around 1.30 pm in the Imphal river and his body is yet to be recovered.

The student has been identified as Laljom Neihsil (11 years) s/o Liankhum of Songphunmun, Jiribam.

The incident took place when the boy tried to retrieve a football from the river.

Personnel of Manipur Fire Brigade have been searching for the missing body since 2 pm.

However the till the time of filing this report, there is no information that the body has been found.
