Imphal, January 18: The Tangkhul student body, Tangkhul Katamnao Long, Imphal (TKLI) has extended its support to the 18-hour general strike being called with effect from midnight today to protest the killing of two persons and causing injury to another in indiscriminate firing by unknown armed persons on the night of December 31, 2005 at North AOC.

The student body also appealed to the State Government and specially to the Chief Minister to look into the matter seriously in the interest of doing justice to the victims so that such incident do not recur.
