Imphal, July 08: Work is going on at a hectic pace to complete the first phase installation of towers along both the national highways for smooth transmission of signal for the CellOne mobile phone subscribers provided by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Imphal, according to sources.

While informing that tower installation works at the highways at four section are likely to be completed within the next week, the source enumerated that in all, eight towers will be installed on NH-39 & 53.The sites where the towers would be installed are at Mao, Maram, Kangpokpi, Kanglatongbi, Khonghampat, Koirengei, Khumbong and Tengnoupal.

The four tower installation sites where currently concerted activities are being carried out for completion next week are at Maram, Kangpokpi, Khumbong and Tengnoupal, said the source adding on completion of the said works telecommunication through mobile phones would be highly convenient.
