Imphal, July 08: Zeliangrong Union South Zone Manipur while strongly condemning the prolonged detention of K Lanmee Kamei Dy Director, Dept of Commerce and Industries has appealed to the cadres of the Manipur Human Rights and Protection Guild to release him unconditionally on humanitarian ground.

Mention may be made here that K Lanmee was abducted by MHRPG cadres on July 1 on charges of corruption.

Women Society Loktak Hydro Electric Project Area also appealed for the safe release of the abducted officer so that a chance may be given to repent and rectify his ways.

Members of the Kakhulong Youths' Committee and Kakhulong Pei Authority jointly staged a sit-in-protest at Kakhulong Paona bazar appealing for the safe and unconditional release of the abducted Dy Director.
