Imphal, July 24 2010:
Houses of two individuals, alleged of indulging in recruitment of youths forcibly to the undergrounds, were burnt down by locals at Wangjing Heitupokpi Mamang Leikai in Thoubal district.
Locals burnt down the houses of Okram Jusbin alias Biju (25) son of O Sharatchandra and his uncle Okram Naba (60) on the charged of indulging in recruitment of local youths.
They were alleged of handing over four youths � Khundrakpam Bitanjit (13) son of Surjit of Heirok part-II, Saikhom Sidam (13) son of late Shanta of Heirok part-I, Okram Amarjit alias Manaobi (13) son of O Premjit of Heitupokpi Mamang Leikai and Soibam Ronaldo (13) son of S Dilip of Wangjing Heitupokpito an underground group after they took away them with the false promise of giving jobs to private companies outside the state.
While whereabouts of Sidam who had been taken away on July 9 remains unknown, Amarjit was taken away on July 17 with the promise that he would be inducted a handyman of a vehicle.

persons, was intercepted by the Assam Rifles at Tengnoupal on the way to Moreh on July 18.The matter of recruiting the children came to know when they again tried to take away Jusbin and Ronaldo to Moreh on July 21 .
A public meeting held on July 22 last with three pradhans of the area set deadline today to produce the missing teenage and hand over them to their families respectively.
But instead of producing the boys, the two accused were found leaving home.
Outrage people rushed to the houses of the two alleged accused persons and started dismantling and burning down.
The fire has been doused by the fire fighters of the Thoubal Fire Service Station before the two houses were reduced to ashes totally.
It is pertinent to mention here that house another alleged recruiter at Khangabok had also been burnt down by irate mob recently.
