Imphal, December 23 2009:
Champ, Khagempali stormed into the final of the first Heritage Cup T20 cricket tournament after a 24 run victory over UCC, Uripok in the first semi final match played today at Luwangpokpa
ground.
After posting 132 for seven wickets, Champ bowlers triggered top order collapse of the Uripok side for whom only Saroj waged a lonely battle to remain not out on 57 runs from 49 balls in the team total of 108 for eight.
Earlier, Champ opener Robinson cracked a 48-ball 57 that also earned him the man of the match award.
In the final slated for December 27, Champ will take on the winner of tomorrow's second semifinal between Blue Hawk, Thangmeiband and royal Eleven Young Star, Nagamapal.
