Host Manipur upstaged overnight leaders Delhi on the third and final day of Thang-Ta competition in the 57th National School Games at Khuman Lampak sports Complex today.
Manipur ended its campaign in thang-ta competition, an indigenous martial art form that originated from Manipur, with a haul of nine gold and three silver medals while Delhi secured the runners-up position on five gold, eight silver and three bronze medals.
Haryana finished third with two gold, same number of silver and six bronze medals while J&K bagged one gold, two silver and one bronze.
Assam also won a gold medal in the competition which was also participated by players from Gujarat, UP, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab.
